Ok, I did a closer look. I know I've read 72. I possess most of the book's I've read - ask my wife - I just can't let go of a book no matter how many times I've read it.

Best foreign book - Blindness by Jose Saramongo- I picked this up while flying through Chicago. I went through a Dostoyevsky period and would probably place him second.

Best American book - I have to admit, I'm a sucker for Steinbeck although my Steinbeck cycle is halfway through another reading of "Travels with Charley" (I'm in the process of writing a script and Steinbeck has a style in this book I'm putting together with a 1941 propoganda film in which my wife's family were central figures)

I'm reading a film script for Harry Potter now. Not looking forward to Harry's death ;(

I just finished Rivers in Time, Evolutionary Catastrophes, Belisarius: The Last Great General of Rome, and something else...blanking...a little tired since I got home at 6 am and returned to work at 11. I am about to start Collapse of Complex Societies.
